Today I want to share an interview with you that I had done back in January (which I haven’t had a chance to share yet!).
I have been really looking forward to sharing this interview with Tami Bronstein, who’s a UK-Qualified Medical Herbalist, because this is the first time that I’ve interviewed a practitioner with experience in using herbal medicine.
In today’s episode, you’ll get to hear Tami share about her experience in using herbal medicine to help patients with eczema. In particular, you’ll learn why the nervous system is so integral in treating eczema and how emotions play a role in the skin.

In this episode, I interview the naturopath who helped me in my journey to overcome severe eczema.
I feel so blessed to have met Dr. Jason because he’s really helped me in my journey (along with an incredible amount of people!). Patients fly in from all over US and Canada to meet him.
The great thing about him is that he can relate to people with eczema, because he, too, suffered from really severe eczema when he was younger. He’s even used steroids for 11 years! Today, he is a naturopath with a successful practice – especially when it comes to treating people with eczema and other skin issues.

Today’s podcast interview is all about giving hope to eczema sufferers around the world.
In this episode, I had the privilege of connecting with Julie Block, the CEO of the National Eczema Association to learn more about why 2015 is a year of hope for those suffering with eczema.
As someone who used to suffer from such incredibly severe eczema for so long before, I felt so alone during the process and I can’t believe that I never looked into the National Eczema Association during my flare ups. To be honest, I had no idea what they did and what resources they had on hand for someone like me.
During the interview, I was so touched by Julie’s passion and care to help those suffering from eczema. It’s so great to know that a CEO invests so much in helping with eczema and really wants to help people overcome it! There’s nothing better than having someone lead an organization who really cares about it.

In this episode, you’ll learn all about how digestion, food allergies, and nutrition affect eczema. Meet Joy McCarthy – she’s a Holistic Nutritionist, nutrition expert on Global TV’s Morning Show (you may have also seen her on CTV, Breakfast Television, and the Steven & Chris Show if you live in Canada!), a professional speaker, and Faculty Member at Institute of Holistic Nutrition.
She’s also the author of Joyous Health: Eat & Live Well without Dieting(which you can find in stores across North America & also on Amazon).
Through a healthy lifestyle change, she’s been able to overcome eczema herself, so she knows first hand what it feels like to suffer from it.
Joy has also created numerous online programs, including a new 10-day detox program to help you get clearer skin, rev up your metabolism, banish sugar cravings, improve digestion, increase your energy, get better sleep, and much more!
In today’s episode, we specifically talk about Joy’s experience with eczema, how digestion, food allergies, and nutrition all affect your skin health. See below for more details.

If you’ve been following my podcasts – this was definitely one of my favourite interviews!
It was so great interviewing Dr. Peter Lio because he’s so full of knowledge and experience with eczema. He’s a Doctor & Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern University, he received his medical degree (and internship) at Harvard Medical School, and he serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the National Eczema Association!
What’s great is that he’s passionate about finding safe, holistic treatments that work for eczema. The Chicago Integrative Eczema Center, which he helped to co-found, allows him to blend traditional medicine with alternative medicine (i.e. acupuncture) together.

Welcome to Episode #2 of The Eczema Podcast! (check out the first episode here, if you missed it)
I wanted to dedicate an episode to sea buckthorn because of the great things that I’ve heard about it. In fact, when I used to work at a health food store, people had come into the store asking for sea buckthorn because it had helped with their eczema.

In this episode, Jennifer Roberge, owner of The Eczema Company, shares on “How to Prepare for a Diet Change.” As you know, a lot of people who suffer from eczema end up changing their diet to help with the flare ups. Jennifer has gone through many diets with her son, Tristan, who has eczema.
She also understands what it’s like to have a husband go through the same diet change (and it’s not always easy having a significant other going through it, too!).
Listen to her tips and advice on how to prepare for a diet change (both physically, mentally, and emotionally) because her advice will come very helpful.
