Today, Patti Phillips talks with Dawn Rogers, the deputy athletics director at Baylor University. You’ll gain so much listening to Dawn’s extraordinary story: She’s succeeded in several huge leadership positions in her career. Early on, she accepted positions she didn’t feel entirely prepared for, including short stints with the Olympic Training Center and Temple, and longer tenures at Xavier University and Arizona State University.
Dawn highlights the significance of doing your homework in searches, owning your mistakes, working hard but smart, and embracing the learning curve – a lesson she learned right out of the gate when she became the assistant athletic director at the University of Akron at the early age of 24.
