Episode 142 - More Unironic Love for Rob Liefeld

This week, the boys sit down to do what they do every week: watch TV and talk about comics.  A common theme in this episode is things that have a strong, defined voice, whether it's Benched, a new TV series co-created by Michaela Watkins and starring Eliza Coupe, Over the Garden Wall, a spooky but charming cartoon miniseries, a shockingly confident episode of black-ish or comics like Pop #3, Mimetic #1 or She-Hulk #9.  All of these shows and comics skirt potentially dodgy issues by being self-assured and consistent, unlike, say, Nightcrawler, which never surpasses its handicap of not being about Kurt Wagner.  Also, it's kinda morally gross.

In the end, they talk about Marvel's movie announcements, how response to it differed from that to DC's recently and, of course, Rob Liefeld.  Call us, The Rob!
