ASU Partners YouTube Creators For College Credit Program

Arizona State University now offers video-based courses for college credit built by Hank Green and John Green. In April 2020, Hank and John launched Study Hall, a program that provided college-level education in a remote setting and later became its own YouTube channel. Now ASU is making Study Hall available as a fully-accredited program taught by ASU faculty and can be taken for college credit.

 

TikTok Experiments with Podcast Functionality

TikTok has been quietly testing a new podcast feature that allows a user to listen to just the audio of a video even if the app is running in the background.

 

Tech Layoffs Continue

Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Twitter did workforce reduction and layoffs. Google used the announcement to plug a focus on AI.
