This week, Dominic and Keith bring honor to us all by breaking down all of the developments in Nerd Pop -- specifically, Disney's live action remake phenomenon.
Before diving into the Disney movies, Dominic and Keith share their thoughts after finally seeing Spider-Man: Far From Home. Has Dominic come around to the John Hughes-nostalgia-filled MCU Spider-Man movies? Speaking of nostalgia, Keith also does a quick review of Stranger Things season 3 on Netflix and the limits of relying on the '80s aesthetic. The back half of the podcast focuses on Disney's slate of live action remakes -- including, Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, and The Little Mermaid. What's the appeal of remaking animated films in live action anyway? They also dig into the racism behind the casting "controversy" of Halle Bailey as Ariel and dig into the Mulan trailer and what that movie means for Asian representation.
No episode next week because both Dom and Keith will be at San Diego Comic-Con, rallying for Rose!
