What if we created spaces where connection, curiosity, and trust were cultivated, and justice, equity, and belonging were experienced by all? Guest Catherine Hanna Schrock, an Applied Theater Practitioner, eloquently describes how her new company, Imagine, is using Forum Theater (a form of Theater of the Oppressed) to invite folks of all ages into transformative processes where they can reimagine community and relationships. She shares her commitment to decolonizing community arts education, particularly in regards to teaching artists, and how that looks at Imagine. Rachelle and Catherine explore a spiritual concept that inspired the name of her company, the ‘Prophetic Imagination,’ which allows us as artists to build a ‘Beloved Community.’
