I know, I know, when it comes to police equipment you want to make
sure you have exceptional quality gear on your belt that can help
you perform the functions of the job.
But I am going to talk in this video about the right equipment you
have had your whole life and maybe did not know about. This piece
of equipment can greatly assist you in your mental well-being as a
police officer. Considering police officers are statistically
more at risk to themselves over the last few years, you must prime
your mind and one way this is done is through the Reticular
Activating System.
The Reticular Activating System is basically the brain's filter.
There is so much stimuli your brain is exposed to that not all of
it can come to a conscious level. So the "RAS" filters out what is
important and what is not.
This can help police or hurt police. Basically, if you chose to
have a positive mindset then your RAS will be the right police
equipment for you to have in 2021 and beyond.
