BDNF - CREATING BRAIN NEURONS

Improving Your Brain with BDNF

This week’s podcast is one from the archives. As I’ve been doing this brain series I thought that this one about BDNF would fit in well. BDNF is something that many people in the health & wellness field have started using to wake up and improve their brains.

BDNF stands for Brain-derived neurotrophic factor and it is a protein found in the brain. BDNF is important for long-term memory because it creates new neurons in your brain. It is also found in the retina, kidney, saliva, prostate, motor nerve cells, and muscle.

BDNF is very important to our brain health and low levels of it can lead to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Dementia, and Depression. One of the best ways to get more BDNF is through coffee fruit extract which is in a number of different supplements on the Resources Page.

I hope you’re enjoying this brain series and I will be continuing it for a few more weeks. Let me know if you have any suggestions on brain-related topics that you’d like me to talk about.
